About Copoxy
Honest takes on board games and the nights you play them
Copoxy is an independent site about board games and tabletop gaming. We help you pick the right game, learn it fast, and run game nights people actually want to come back to.
Why we started Copoxy
Walk into a hobby shop or scroll a storefront and the wall of boxes is overwhelming. Half the reviews online read like marketing copy, and the other half assume you already own three hundred games. We wanted a place that talks to the rest of us: people who love a good night around the table but don't have unlimited shelf space, budget, or patience for a forty-minute rules explanation.
Copoxy started in 2026 as a shared spreadsheet between friends who kept arguing about which games were worth keeping. Those arguments turned into write-ups, and the write-ups turned into this. Today we publish across four areas — game reviews, how to play, game night, and tabletop world — all built on one idea: the best game is the one that fits the people sitting around your table.
What you can expect
Every article is written or edited by someone who has actually played the game, taught it to new players, and seen how it lands at a real table. We favour depth over hot takes, we revisit reviews when an expansion or new edition changes the picture, and we are upfront about who a game is and isn't for. When we praise something, it's because we'd hand it to a friend — not because a publisher sent a check.

What we value
The principles behind every article
Played, not skimmed
We write about games we have actually put on the table. If a clever idea falls apart after three rounds, we tell you that instead of repeating the back-of-box pitch.
Reader-first, always
Our reviews are independent. We are never paid for a good score, and we keep advertising clearly separate from editorial.
Fun for the table you have
We don't worship complexity or chase the heaviest box on the shelf. The right game is the one that lights up the people you play with.
Plain and honest
No jargon walls, no padding, and no pretending a game has zero flaws. We explain the rules and the catch the way we would to a friend across the table.
The team
Who writes Copoxy
Felix worked the floor of a friendly local game store for years, teaching first-timers and lifelong gamers alike. He founded Copoxy on a simple belief: the right game can turn any group of people into friends for an evening.
Lucía has a shelf that is, by any reasonable measure, too full of board games. She writes reviews and strategy guides with a designer's eye for what makes a game tick, and she is honest about the ones that overstay their welcome.
Omar is the person who brings the games to every gathering. He covers family-friendly and party games — the ones that work with mixed ages, big groups, and people who swear they hate board games.
